Our Experience

Relevant experience includes:

  • Surveying artificial intelligence regulations in SEA and select major jurisdictions such as the EU and China for an e-commerce client, including preparing relevant internal documentation.*
  • Reviewing the sale of robotics products and services to a public hospital cluster for a robotics software company.*
  • Advising on intellectual property and commercial aspects of a research and development arrangement for robotics and baggage recognition technology for an airline terminal operator.*
  • Advising on telecommunications law requirements for a high-performance sports car manufacturer concerning its connected vehicles products.*
  • Advising on data privacy compliance and risks for a cross-platform identity resolution solution in the ad tech space. The project required an appreciation of the client’s services and an understanding of the ad tech network.*
  • Built a privacy and data security programme for a security software/SaaS services start-up including advising on the recommended approach, rationalising compliance risk and crafting internal privacy and IT security policies.*
  • Handling data breach situations (including regulatory notifications) for various companies including insurers and fintechs.*
  • Assisting Singapore parties in the legal & compliance workstream of the groundbreaking PayNow-PromptPay Project[1] to connect Singapore and Thailand’s fast payment systems. Singapore’s fast payments system was subsequently connected to UPI in India[2] and DuitNow[3] in Malaysia. A multilateral payment solution is contemplated under Project Nexus.[4]*
  • Advising a fintech company with a network-to-network connection with a national payment network in the region to enable real-time cross-border QR code-based payments.*
  • Concluding global agreements to enable payment solutions for an online marketplace for games and other digital goods.*
  • Advising and negotiating a 13-jurisdiction business process outsourcing arrangement for a major Japanese bank that enabled the consolidation and outsourcing of AML/Sanctions capabilities to a shared services center operated by an Indian provider.*
  • Negotiating key technology agreements with all major technology suppliers (including cloud, IT consulting and health data analytics vendors) for a health technology venture that would enable the provision of data and analytics-related services for hospital management.*
