Dawn has worked in large Singapore law firms and international “Big Law” firms for more than 15 years and has extensive experience in cross-border deals involving domestic as well as international clients across a broad range of industries. Her career has seen her advising a diverse range of clients, including startups, family offices, multinational corporations, and investment funds, across Asia, the United States, and Europe.
Dawn’s main areas of expertise include venture capital and startup matters, mergers and acquisitions, investment funds, and general corporate and commercial transactions. Dawn advises companies across the entire corporate life cycle and has played a pivotal role in significant financing rounds, including acting as lead counsel for investors and companies in various Series A and Series B fundraisings. She has also represented both buyers and sellers in complex M&A cross-border deals, including divestments, acquisitions, and corporate restructurings. Dawn also has substantial experience in the investment funds sector and has advised on the establishment of fund structures, managed compliance with regulatory frameworks, and represented institutional investors in their engagements with private equity and venture capital funds.
She was previously with WongPartnership LLP, Morgan Lewis Stamford (f.k.a. Stamford Law Corporation), Squire Patton Boggs and McDermott Will & Emery.
Dawn graduated from the National University of Singapore and is admitted to the Singapore Bar. Apart from her legal practice, Dawn also holds the Certificate for Family Office Advisors (Advanced) issued by the Wealth Management Institute of Singapore.
